Common questions

How accurate is this estimate?
The arithmetic is exact; the inputs are not. Price and hardware figures come from you, and utilisation is a guess — it's the single largest source of error in the whole calculation. Treat the three columns as a range, not a forecast, and revisit them once you have a month of real occupancy data.
Where do the reference prices come from?
They reflect recent marketplace rates for each model and move with supply and demand. They're a starting point for your listing price, not a rate we set or guarantee. Check GPU pricing for current numbers.
What utilisation should I assume?
There's no single right answer, which is why we don't supply one. It depends on your GPU model, price relative to the market, region, and reliability history. Pricing below the median generally buys occupancy; pricing above it means fewer hours sold at a higher rate. If you have no data at all, model a pessimistic case and see whether the numbers still work.
Does this include the platform fee?
The fee field in advanced options defaults to zero. Set it to whatever your host agreement specifies and the breakdown will account for it. We've left it at zero rather than guessing on your behalf.
Why is electricity subtracted but rent and depreciation aren't?
Power scales directly with utilisation, so it belongs in the same calculation. Rent, staff, cooling overhead and hardware depreciation vary too much between operators for a default to be meaningful — add hardware cost in advanced options and you'll at least get a rough payback period.
